Earlier this year I tried my hand at growing microgreens; I was pretty pleased with the results.
I must admit that the journey wasn't an easy one. You see, although I'd heard about microgreens some time ago, I'd never even tasted nor did I have the thought to even try to grow them.
All of that changed in March when Gino of Common Wealth's Kitchen Incubator and Prepped Wellness gave me a sample to try. They were delicious!
It was like I could feel all of the nutrients flowing through my system, so from that point I decided that I'd give growing them on my own a try.
Learning how to grow them on my own wasn't easy because there's sooo much information online about growing microgreens, so that made it hard to decide which method to try.
Nevertheless, after deciding on a method to try, the next challenge was simply blocking time to place the order. After that, the next challenge was blocking the time to put some seeds into the dirt.
Blocking time in general was a challenge because the outdoor growing season was quickly approaching, and I had a lot of seeds to get started for the outdoor garden.
Nevertheless, I finally placed the order and got my first seeds into the dirt, and voilà! The rest is history!
Today, about 7 months later (October 2023); now that the outdoor growing season is pretty much over, I'm ready to talk to Gino and Liz about what it would take to do some microgreens business with them.
Stay tuned!
